Islamic University of Minnesota Launches Dedicated Faculty Profile Websites

As part of its ongoing commitment to digital transformation and strengthening the academic presence of its faculty members, the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center has officially launched dedicated faculty profile websites within the University's unified web domain. The initiative reflects the University's commitment to documenting scholarly achievements and showcasing the academic excellence of its faculty.

Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Maqrami, Vice President of the University and President of the Main Center, explained that these websites serve as official academic profiles documenting the professional and scholarly accomplishments of faculty members. Each faculty member is provided with a dedicated profile page that can be continuously updated to include a curriculum vitae, academic qualifications, professional and academic experience, research publications, courses taught, academic committee memberships, and contact information, with the flexibility to display or hide selected information according to the faculty member's preferences.

Dr. Al-Maqrami further noted that the University is continuing to enhance the platform by introducing additional features in the near future, including the ability to document faculty supervision of graduate theses and participation in thesis defenses, thereby providing a more comprehensive record of each faculty member's academic and research activities.

As part of this technological advancement, the University has integrated the QR Code printed on each faculty member's electronic academic ID card with their official faculty profile webpage. By scanning the QR Code, visitors, researchers, and interested parties are directed instantly to the faculty member's verified academic profile hosted on the University's official website, ensuring convenient access to authenticated academic information.

Dr. Al-Maqrami encouraged all faculty members to access the University's electronic portal and complete the updating of their academic profiles, emphasizing that this initiative represents a significant addition to the University's digital services. He noted that it will help highlight faculty members' scholarly achievements, establish a reliable institutional academic database, and further strengthen the University's academic reputation and international visibility.
