Research and Studies Center Concludes "From an Idea to a Completed Research Project" Training Program

The Research and Studies Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota Main Center has concluded its specialized training program, "From an Idea to a Completed Research Project," which aimed to support and train students facing challenges in completing their graduation projects and supplementary research. The program consisted of three practical workshops delivered by Dr. Musa Mohammed Noor Al-Daw, Deputy Director of the Center, via the Zoom platform, with the participation of a number of undergraduate and master’s students.

The program covered a range of academic and methodological topics addressing the various stages of preparing a research project. The first workshop focused on developing a research proposal and formulating its key components. The second addressed the development of the research structure, preparation of the theoretical framework, analysis of previous studies, and identification of the research gap. The third workshop focused on academic writing, scholarly citation and referencing, and preparing the final version of the research in accordance with established academic standards.

The program sought to simplify the research process by breaking it down into clear, practical, and applicable stages. It also aimed to develop participants’ research, writing, and documentation skills, strengthen their confidence in their research abilities, and help them complete well-structured research projects characterized by quality and academic rigor.

The three workshops witnessed notable engagement from participants, who raised questions and discussed various issues related to academic research. They also explored key challenges encountered while working on their research projects. Practical exercises and guidance models were provided to help participants approach the different stages of research preparation in a clearer and more systematic manner.

The conclusion of the program is part of a series of training initiatives organized by the Research and Studies Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota, reflecting its commitment to developing researchers’ skills, promoting a culture of academic research, and supporting students in completing their academic projects. These efforts contribute to producing high-quality research outputs that adhere to modern academic standards.
