Adnan Al-Omari Defends His Master's Thesis

The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Main Center of the Islamic University of Minnesota discussed a master's thesis addressing a contemporary issue in the field of non-profit management. Researcher Adnan Bobkar Saleh Saadoun Al-Omari presented his thesis entitled "The Role of Administrative Enablers in Achieving Financial Sustainability in Non-Profit Associations in the Makkah Region" in partial fulfillment of the requirements for obtaining a Master's degree from the Department of Business Administration at the College of Economics and Business Administration.

The study aimed to explore the impact of administrative enablers on enhancing the financial sustainability of non-profit associations by analyzing a range of organizational and managerial factors that contribute to improving financial performance, strengthening resource development, and ensuring the continuity of funding sources. These factors enable such organizations to carry out their developmental and community-oriented missions with greater efficiency and effectiveness.

The thesis also examined several key dimensions related to financial sustainability, including strategic planning, institutional governance, resource development, and administrative capacity building. These elements were identified as essential tools that help non-profit organizations address financial challenges and strengthen their ability to sustain growth and stability amid rapidly changing economic and regulatory environments.

The examination committee consisted of Dr. Khaled Raji Basareedah as the thesis supervisor, Dr. Manal Mohammed Mahmoud, Head of the Department of Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the internal examiner, and Dr. Kamal Mohammed Hamed Al-Faqi as the external examiner.

The thesis defense featured a constructive academic discussion focusing on the study’s methodology, objectives, and anticipated findings. Committee members provided a number of scholarly observations and recommendations aimed at enriching the research and enhancing its academic and practical value.

This thesis reflects the commitment of the College of Economics and Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota to supporting applied research that addresses contemporary administrative and developmental issues.
