Deanship of Faculty Affairs Strengthens Its Academic Workforce

In a significant step reflecting its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and institutional development, the Deanship of Faculty Affairs at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center has welcomed a new cohort of faculty members to join the College of Computer Science and Information Technology and the College of Economics and Business Administration, further enhancing the quality of education and supporting the University’s strategic academic objectives.

The Deanship of Faculty Affairs extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed academics, emphasizing that their appointment represents a valuable addition to the University’s distinguished academic community. Their expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the implementation of the University’s development plans and academic programs aimed at delivering high-quality higher education that meets the demands of contemporary scientific and professional advancements.

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology welcomed 31 new faculty members, who were appointed across the Departments of Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Networks and Cybersecurity. The appointments include 11 Assistant Professors, 4 Associate Professors, and 16 Lecturers, further strengthening the College’s capacity to provide specialized programs aligned with the evolving digital landscape.

Meanwhile, the College of Economics and Business Administration appointed 15 new faculty members across the Departments of Business Administration, Marketing, Financial Management and Investment, Project Management, Economics and Islamic Banking, Human Resource Management, and Accounting. The appointments comprise 9 Assistant Professors, 4 Associate Professors, and 2 Lecturers, reinforcing the College’s academic offerings and expanding its pool of expertise across key business disciplines.

With these appointments, the total number of newly recruited faculty members across the two colleges reaches 46 academics, underscoring the Islamic University of Minnesota’s dedication to attracting highly qualified professionals and strengthening its academic workforce in support of its educational and research mission while enhancing the quality of its programs at the international level.
