Department of Financial Management Holds Preparatory Meeting
As part of its preparations for the launch of the First Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year, the Department of Financial Management and Investment at the College of Economics and Business Administration, Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, held an extensive preparatory meeting for its faculty members on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Mabrouka Hussein Hemmat, Head of the Department, and attended by the Deputy Head of the Department, along with both newly appointed and current faculty members. The meeting aimed to enhance academic readiness, align departmental visions, and ensure a smooth start to the new academic year.
Opening the meeting, Dr. Mabrouka Hussein Hemmat warmly welcomed the participants and expressed her pride in the appointment of the department's new faculty members, describing their addition as a valuable contribution that will further strengthen the department's academic mission. In the area of academic publishing, the meeting focused on the progress of the Financial Engineering textbook project, which is being prepared as an official course textbook. Participants reviewed the work completed thus far and discussed the remaining stages required to finalize the manuscript in accordance with rigorous academic standards. They also emphasized the importance of holding regular coordination meetings among the textbook preparation committee to monitor progress, enhance collaboration, and ensure the production of a high-quality academic resource.
