Da'wah Center Organizes Educational Lecture on Rulings of Hajj

The Da'wah Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, in collaboration with the Minnesota Education and Development Platform, organized the third lecture in its series of educational and outreach programs under the title “The Rulings of Hajj.” The event attracted a number of participants, students, and interested attendees through online platforms.

The lecture was delivered by Sheikh Othman Abkar Jameel, who provided a comprehensive overview of the Islamic rulings related to the obligation of Hajj, highlighting its significance and status in Islam. He also discussed the most important jurisprudential issues that pilgrims need to understand, in addition to explaining several rulings and etiquettes associated with performing the pilgrimage in accordance with the guidance of the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

The session was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Al-Shaqiri, Deputy Director of the Da'wah Center and Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies (English Program), who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of such educational initiatives in strengthening Islamic awareness, promoting authentic religious knowledge, and fostering a sound understanding of Islamic acts of worship.

This lecture forms part of the Da'wah Center’s ongoing efforts at the Islamic University of Minnesota to provide meaningful educational and faith-based programs that deepen Islamic understanding, reinforce core values, and strengthen Muslims’ connection with their religious obligations and rituals, particularly during seasons of worship when the need for guidance and awareness becomes even more significant.
