The research proposal, titled “The Semantics of Terminology in the Holy Qur'an: The Concept of Admonition (Wa'dh) as a Model,” aimed to examine the semantic and contextual dimensions of the term “admonition” within the Qur’anic text, as well as to analyze the methodology of dealing with Qur’anic terminology as a foundational approach to understanding divine discourse.
The session was attended by a distinguished academic committee comprising Dr. Najima Al-Radwani (academic supervisor), Dr. Abdulrahman Hijan, Dr. Youssef Al-Ifriqi, and Dr. Hadeel Mohammed Abdulazim.
During the discussions, the committee members provided a range of critical and methodological insights aimed at enhancing the strength of the research proposal and refining its academic framework, while also commending the importance and relevance of the topic and its valuable contribution to Qur’anic studies.
The seminar was held on Thursday evening, April 23, 2026, via Zoom, with the participation of a number of researchers and scholars interested in Qur’anic studies. The event reflects the university’s ongoing academic engagement in supporting graduate students and promoting specialized scholarly research.
