Scientific Seminar to Discuss PhD Proposal on Impact of Knowing Allah

The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Islamic Studies and the Department of Islamic Studies (English Medium), is organizing a scientific seminar to discuss the research proposal submitted by researcher Ameerah Jame’, as part of the requirements for the PhD program.

The research proposal is titled: “The Impact of Knowing Allah on the Development of Certainty and Its Reflection on Religious Conduct and Contentment with Divine Decree: An Analytical Study in the Qur’an and Sunnah.” It addresses a significant theological and educational topic, focusing on the impact of knowing Allah in strengthening certainty, and how this is reflected in religious behavior and contentment with divine decree, through an analytical study based on the texts of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah.

The seminar is scheduled to be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM (Makkah time), via Zoom, with the participation of a specialized academic committee comprising a number of scholars. The committee will be chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Manal Mustafa Abdullah, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies (English Medium), with membership of Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Al-Shuqiri and Dr. Yasmeen Abu Shbaneh Mustafa.

This seminar comes within the framework of the Deanship’s efforts to support researchers at various academic levels and to promote rigorous scientific research in Islamic studies, contributing to addressing faith-based and behavioral issues through a balanced scholarly approach that combines authenticity and modernity.
