Research Seminar Discusses AI-Based Educational Proposal
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the main center of the Islamic University of Minnesota, in collaboration with the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, held a scientific seminar on Sunday evening, April 19, 2026, to discuss the research proposal submitted by researcher Islah Khadr Abdullah Tayeh, as part of the requirements for the PhD program.
The proposal was titled: “The Effectiveness of an Educational Model Based on an Intelligent Conversational Agent Supported by Interactive Stories in Developing Value Awareness and Selected Basic Jurisprudential Skills among Fifth-Grade Female Students in the State of Qatar (A Quasi-Experimental Study).” The study addressed the integration of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process and their role in enhancing both value-based and skill-oriented learning outcomes among primary-level students.
The seminar session was chaired by Dr. Talaat Mohammed Al-Dardir, Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and attended by a scientific committee comprising Dr. Mahmoud Mansi as academic supervisor, Dr. Mahrous Sulaiman, and Dr. Mohammed Shawki.
Held via the Zoom platform, the session featured a scientific presentation by the researcher, outlining the study’s rationale, objectives, and methodological framework. This was followed by an in-depth academic discussion led by the committee members, offering constructive feedback and recommendations aimed at refining the proposal and strengthening its academic and practical value.
This seminar is part of a series of scientific sessions regularly organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies to support academic research and encourage scholars to address contemporary educational issues through innovative approaches that contribute to the advancement of educational practices.
