Research Proposal by Researcher Mohamed Abdelsattar Approved

The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Computing and Information Systems and the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, organized a scientific seminar on Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026, to discuss the research proposal submitted by doctoral researcher Mohammed Abdulsattar Mohammed. The proposal, entitled "A Bilingual (Arabic-English) Conversational Analytics System for Smart Decision-Making: An Application to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise Resource Planning System," was presented via Zoom.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Bushra Sharif, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with the participation of committee members Dr. Mohammed Abaz, Dr. Ahmed Ward, and Dr. Al-Shaymaa Nabil.

The seminar reviewed the scientific and methodological framework of the research proposal. The committee discussed the study’s objectives, research problem, methodology, and academic significance, in addition to examining its potential applications in leveraging artificial intelligence and bilingual conversational analytics to support decision-making processes within enterprise resource planning systems.

The seminar featured an in-depth academic dialogue between the committee members and the researcher, addressing various technical and methodological aspects of the proposal. The committee also provided a number of scholarly observations and recommendations aimed at developing the proposal and strengthening its research framework, in line with rapid advances in artificial intelligence and data science and in support of the study’s practical value in modern organizational environments.

The seminar is part of the scientific activities organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies to support scientific research and enhance the quality of graduate studies by providing researchers with an academic environment in which they can present and discuss their research projects through constructive scholarly dialogue. These efforts contribute to preparing researchers capable of developing innovative solutions that address institutional needs and keep pace with contemporary technological developments.
