Minnesota Platform Organizes Specialized Workshop

The Minnesota Education and Development Platform, affiliated with the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, has announced the organization of a specialized training workshop entitled "Autism Spectrum Disorder: Insights into Understanding and Therapeutic Applications." The event is part of the platform’s educational and awareness initiatives aimed at promoting specialized knowledge and enhancing public awareness of contemporary educational and psychological issues.

The workshop is scheduled to be held online via Zoom on Monday, May 11, 2026. It will be delivered by Dr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani, a faculty member at the university and a certified trainer, while Dr. Fatimah Juma Al-Wahsh will moderate the session.

The workshop seeks to shed light on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from both scientific and practical perspectives by presenting current concepts related to the disorder, reviewing key therapeutic and rehabilitation approaches, and discussing practical strategies that contribute to improving support, intervention, and care for individuals with ASD and their families.

In addition, the workshop aims to enhance awareness among specialists, researchers, university students, and members of the wider community by providing knowledge and practical skills that foster a deeper understanding of the characteristics of ASD and evidence-based methods for addressing its challenges, thereby supporting rehabilitation and social inclusion efforts.

The Minnesota Education and Development Platform affirmed that the workshop forms part of a series of high-quality training programs designed to bridge academic knowledge with practical application and to strengthen the role of educational institutions in serving society and promoting scientific awareness in areas related to human and educational development.

The platform continues to expand its diverse training and development programs across various academic and professional fields, in line with its vision of building a modern digital learning environment that supports lifelong learning and responds to evolving societal and professional needs.
