"Manager’s Catalog" Workshop Enhances Administrative Leadership Skills

The Quality and Development Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, in collaboration with the Deanship of Administrative Affairs and faculty members, organized a specialized training workshop on Saturday evening, April 18, 2026, titled: “Manager’s Catalog: Your Comprehensive Guide to the Most Challenging Administrative Situations.” The workshop comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to develop leadership capacities and enhance administrative efficiency among academic and administrative staff.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ibrahim under the supervision of Dr. Fatima Jomaa Al-Wahsh, Director of the Quality and Development Unit. It targeted department heads and managers, focusing on equipping participants with the skills needed to handle administrative challenges with professionalism and confidence, make effective decisions in critical situations, and develop modern leadership and team management skills.

The training covered a range of practical themes addressing complex administrative scenarios, supported by applied models aimed at improving institutional performance in line with the demands of contemporary university administration.

The workshop was held via the Zoom platform as part of the university’s expansion in delivering remote training programs, enabling broader participation from the target audience. Participants were awarded accredited certificates in recognition of their commitment to attending the program.

Participants’ feedback reflected a high level of satisfaction. Dr. Zeinab Bassiouni, Deputy Vice President of the University, praised the efforts of the Quality and Development Unit and the Deanship of Administrative Affairs in organizing and supervising the workshop. She commended the rich and practical content presented by Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ibrahim, highlighting the valuable contributions that enriched the academic discussions.

In the same context, Ms. Ruqayya Abdulhafidh, Director of PhD Student Affairs, expressed her significant benefit from the workshop, describing it as outstanding in all aspects. Professor Hanan Obeid, Head of the Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty of Media, noted that her participation and the academic discussions made the experience both enriching and fruitful. Dr. Hanaa Bani Atta also praised the organization and content, affirming that the workshop contributed to enhancing performance and improving administrative efficiency.

For her part, Dr. Nourhan Salama, Dean of Faculty Affairs, expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the organizers, valuing the collaboration between various academic and administrative units. She also praised the engagement of academic leaders and faculty members, reflecting a strong spirit of institutional integration within the university.

This workshop is part of a series of qualitative initiatives implemented by the Quality and Development Unit, aimed at advancing administrative performance and promoting a culture of effective leadership within the university.
